On Wednesday 4th Oct AssetGo’s app Version 4 will roll out across the network. It may take several days before you receive the update automatically due to the way the respective app stores distribute updates.
For Android users it is important to note that when your device updates to version 4, you will be logged out. There is unfortunately nothing we can do to prevent this.
Any unsync’d data such as an ongoing inspection will be lost when you are logged out.
We highly recommend that you sync your app and ensure that you do not have any open inspections, particularly if you have automatic updates enabled on your device.
You can disable automatic updates temporarily if you think you will be affected, please see our guide below.
How do I disable automatic updates on Android?
- Open the Google Play Store app on your Android device.
- Select Menu.
- Select Settings.
- Select Auto-update Apps.
- Select Don’t auto-update apps, and select Done.
You will be able to force the update manually if you search for the AssetGo app on the Play Store and the ‘Update’ button is highlighted.
If you have forgotten your username or PIN, you will need your manager or administrator to reset this via the CMS. This can be done within an individual users record.
- Navigate to the bottom of the users ‘account’ tab.
- Enter a new PIN.
- Select ‘Yes’ on ‘Force PIN change on login’.
- Press the save button.
Your driver can then access the app with the username and PIN you set, and will be forced to update the PIN to something more memorable when they login to the app.
We appreciate your cooperation and apologise for any disruption this may cause.
